CARA MEMASANG BANNER ANIMASI PADA BLOG


Anda tentu sering melihat Banner –banner animasi pada Blog atau website seperti banner, nah jika anda tertarik untuk membuat banner-banner animasi semacam ini berikut ini saya akan coba uraikan secara sederhana cara membuatnya atau memasangnya di blog.
Pertama, buatlah banner Animasi berbasis gif menggunakan softwere Banner Maker Pro 8 yang dapat anda Unduh versi Trial nya dari internet. Buat sesuai ukuran yang di kehendaki
Setelah banner selesai dibuat save di computer anda. Tahap selanjutnya adalah menyimpan nya pada file hosting di internet, saya menggunakan layanan Photobucket.com.


Untuk dapat menggunakan file hosting di photobucket.com anda harus mendaftar dulu, tentunya gratis.
Kalau sudah, Upload file banner tersebut. Kalau berhasil maka banner anda akan tersimpan di photobucket.Dari situ nantinya Gambar banner akan terlihat lalu dibagian bawah gambar akan ada beberapa code, pilih Kode HTML kemudian Copy


Tahap berikutnya adalah memasang Kode HTML yang sudah di Copy ke dalam Blog Anda
Jangan Lupa ganti link urlnya supaya link tersebut mengarah ke web/blog anda.

Cara upload Ke Hosting…





okeh.. beberapa waktu yang lalu aku ditanyo teman, gimana ya cara upload file ke hosting atow ke web kita…

mungkin ini sedikit artikel yang bisa membantu teman teman yang ingin belajar, sama seperti saya,
Pertamo klo ingin mudah meng-Upload ato meng-unggah file dari komputer ke web hosting kita gunakan fasilitas FTP. Hmm.. FTP?? apa tuh?? google aja yah… atow ntr saya bahas laen kali… haha…
lanjut, disini saya mencoba tuk menggunakan fasilitas FTP dari Web Hosting, misal kita hosting di tempat gratisan seperti 110mb.com atow freehostia.com
kita buka WEB FTP gratis jg pke misal menggunakan net2ftp.com
akan muncul tampilan tuk kita login, seperti dibawah ini :





FTP Server kita isi dengan domain kita, misal riyands.110mb.com
username : username kita di hosting, password juga….
Trus kita Enter, atow LOGIN deh…
selanjutnya akan tampil seperti dibawah ini :

kita klik Upload untuk meng-upload ke hosting kita….
setelah di klik akan muncul tampilan dibawah ini:

kita Browse file yang akan di upload td, "Add another" untuk menambah file yang akan di upload….
okeh, setelah di browse kita klik submit atow Conteng
Upload to directory adalah folder tempat kita upload… misal kita punya folder di hosting "images" maka Upload to directory nya = /images
nah, selesai dah kita upload menggunakan ftp dari net2ftp.com
oh iya, klo ada teman yang membuat web menggunakan FrontPage, dan akan mengupload di hosting maka seluruh file harus di upload ke folder yang sama seperti di komputer kita.
misal di komputer file index.html, trus ada folder images beserta file2 lainnya.. upload semua deh.. satu-satu.. hehe…
tp klo gak mau satu2, dibuat dalam bentuk .zip aja, trus baru di upload and di Unzip di net2ftp bisa jg tuh..
okeh, itu aja, mohon maaf klo ada yang kirang jelas, tp tenang, bisa teman2 tanya disini,  mungkin aku bs bantu ettt… tp aku masih belajar jg loh.. he.. :)

Compendium Review



Compendium is a slightly different kettle of fish to the other products reviewed here, both practically and philosophically. Dealing with the philosophical side first, many of the mainstream mind mapping products like NovaMind, MindManager and ConceptDraw's MINDMAP are commercial while others are open source and free, like Freeplane, Freemind and Labyrinth.


Downloading and Initial Impressions 


The download process is slightly different to the norm, requiring a valid email address before a download link is emailed to you. This might put off casual observers but that is unlikely to be considered a problem for the Compendium Institute, the organization behind the research project and the tool that has emerged from it. Fifteen years of research have lead to the concepts enshrined in Compendium. The heart of the project is the Knowledge Media Institute of the UK's Open University and collaborators include other academic institutions around the world and commercial partners such as Verizon. Compendium has been used in many projects at the Open University and over fifty projects at NYNEX, Verizon and Bell Atlantic so it has been comprehensively road tested and its use and effectiveness closely studied.


Once downloaded installation is straightforward. The installer for the Windows package warns that is has only been comprehensively tested on Windows 2000 and XP and that it may work correctly on other versions (or not, presumably). Our testing was conducted on a Windows XP machine. A Java runtime environment is installed along with the Compendium package but it is relatively old and caused our system to download a Java update the next time it was rebooted. Everything still worked fine though.


The builders of Compendium have provided a number of screencast movies on their website which take you thorough the initial concepts contained within the program. They are well worth viewing as a quick way to get to know the software. In the Windows version the layout is easily recognizable and although some of the buttons are non-standard their functions are easy to figure out. The tool tips that pop up on mouseover are a real help when starting out and much appreciated as they are often never implemented in open source programs.




Database Driven


The program starts up with an invitation to create a user account and then an initial mind map. This is the first sign that Compendium is built from the ground up using a database to provide a multi-faceted collaborative tool. Most mind mapping software has had collaboration capability bolted on as the internet has become faster and more reliable but this is not the case with Compendium. Starting the program takes a little while as database elements are registered and built, then a window is presented with a hierarchical outline view window on the left and a map window on the right. This second window, called a visual view, is populated with an Inbox, Trash and a couple of map icons the first time the application is started up.


Another disconcerting side effect of the use of a database instead of files, although it proves beneficial once the panic is over, is that you are not prompted to save changes as you exit. The sudden fear of all that lost work turns into relief as soon as the program is restarted. The File Open dialogue box presents a choice of maps, including the one you were working on. So changes are made in realtime to the database and there's no concept of opening, saving or closing files. The data represented by your maps is referred to as a 'Project' and there are tools to backup, copy and delete those projects.


Map Creation


Improve Your Life With MindMappingAfter following the initial screencasts you will be able to create maps. These are completely freeform and there are a number of different types of nodes (node appears to be the chosen term for an item in most mind mapping programs). As Compendium is a tool for mapping ideas, discussions and problems the nodes are more specialist than in pure mind mapping tools. You can add a node that asks a question, answers it or ascribes positive or negative attributes to another node. There are also decision and argument nodes.


A lot of attention has been paid to keyboard shortcuts, so simply hitting the 'M' key while in the view window will create a new node, opening its text box for you to immediately type the node's title. Nodes can also be created by dragging the icon for the relevant node type from the toolbar onto the map. The keyboard method works well and is preferred because mouse clicks sometimes don't quite work the way you intend them too.


Context Click Consistency


There is some inconsistency as to when an area or a node is in focus (in terms of the mouse) This means you sometimes don't get a response to a mouse click and have to repeat it after waiting to realize that nothing's going to happen. This is the sort of minor irritation that open source users have to live with which wouldn't happen with a commercial product like MindMindManager. Having said that there is a full and comprehensive set of keyboard shortcuts for almost any task and they are all listed in sections in the Help file.


Once you have mastered the basics of using Compendium it is well worth going back to the screencasts on the Institute's website. Not only do they explain some of the features but, crucially, there are walkthroughs of mind map creation for specific subjects. For example there are three screencast describing different ways of representing and capturing strategy and one that shows how to capture and categorize a collection of useful web pages about a particular subject. This latter one could catch on; it makes lists of favorites in a browser look positively primeval.


Connecting Links


One difference with Compendium over other mind mapping products is that lines connecting the nodes aren't drawn in automatically as nodes are created. They are dragged into place with a right-click (ALT+mouse button for Mac users) once the nodes are in place. This makes map creation slightly slower than with a package likeXMind, which connects nodes at creation, but allows complete and absolute freedom as to where lines should go, with multiple end and starting points no problem at all.


The colors of the lines linking the nodes have different interpretations. A line can mean that a node 'Responds To' another node, or 'Expands On' the node pointed to, or any one of around eight relationships. There are over half a dozen of these, daunting for the novice user, but the lines can be labeled with their type, or in fact with any other text. This complete freedom with line placement and type can be daunting for some people but for those well-versed in mind mapping as a concept it is very welcome.


Node Properties


The nodes can all have properties ascribed to them, comments, tags and others. Tags show some of the power that Compendium has behind the maps that can be drawn. There is a group of pre-assigned tags provided with the package but also the ability to add your own. Once items have been assigned relevant tags, or perhaps updated after a project meeting, you can search on those tags (as well as other properties) to find all nodes with that tag, not only in the current mind map but across however many maps you can get access to.


Compendium nodes can be maps themselves and there is no practical limit to the number of maps that can be nested or the levels where they can be linked. There is a 'weight' icon which, if turned on, will indicate the number of nodes contained within a map node. This is a useful if crude measure of the importance of the map.




Collaboration Connections


The academic roots of Compendium show in the extra features, particularly those that enable collaboration. Compendium can make links to servers such as ClaimMaker and IX Panel. ClaimMaker is a client server system for modeling interpretations of academic papers and IX Panel is an experimental server-based technology based at the University of Edinburgh for coordinating activities and shared document. Connections can also be made to any service using the Jabber IM protocol, and in fact the IX Panel link uses this protocol.


Another collaboration enhancement is the ability to link to Access Grid meetings via a set of tools under the 'memetic' umbrella. Again memetic and Access Grid are technical academic projects that support the sharing of learning. In this case it is the ability to record, store and replay meetings whether they are in person or virtual. Compendium also has a defined XML schema which can be used to tie mind maps into other sources with XML interfaces and technically minded people should have no difficulty setting these links up.


Bells and Whistles


Compendium has some neat tricks up its sleeve. You can overlay a map on top of an image to add notes and graphics to it. This allows you to, for example, annotate satellite maps or highlight items on a picture of a circuit board. These task normally need knowledge of a complex graphics program but with Compendium it is straightforward. Setting Text on mouseover is very useful too. If care is taken over the text chosen this can be used so that people looking at a mind map can get the overall picture before delving down into the layers that will specifically interest them.




A scribble pad can be used to literally scribble on a mind map. This is a transparent layer which is usually hidden but can be brought to the front of a map and drawn on using a simple graphics tool. This is useful in live teaching or presentation situations because lines, arrows and circles can be drawn freehand on the scribble pad to highlight particular areas of the mind map. The graphic editing capability is very rudimentary though.




Transcluding Nodes


Transcluding is another facility that is unique to Compendium (as far as we know at the moment) and it keeps track of ideas or documents when they might fit into multiple categories rather than just one. You can make a copy of a node, using CTRL-C or the Copy option under the Edit menu. This does not create an actual copy of the document. As all the content nodes are links to the real item, the copy command creates another link.


Each node icon is annotated to indicate that there are a number of instances of it in other maps and if you change the text label on one the other will all be updated. However, you can assign different tags and other properties to each of the different icons. For example an item could be an opportunity in one context but a problem in another. However, if you do actually need to make a real copy of a node, separate from the original, instead of a duplicate link, use the Clone option instead of Copy.


Compendium Conclusions


What is Compendium all about then? While it has the mind mapping concept at its heart it is much more than a tool to draw and update mind maps. Many people use Compendium as an organizer for research projects or even their lives and its ability to link to almost any object certainly lends itself to this. The downside is that you have to use Compendium as the glue between all your activities. This is fine unless you are working with people who don't use it, because you will keep having to go back to the tools that your colleagues use, then update Compendium separately.


Is it good software? Undoubtedly it is, but is using Compendium to draw mind maps a bit like using a brick to crack an egg? Perhaps so; it will do the job brilliantly but then you'll find yourself working around it more than if you'd picked a simpler tool. If all you want to do is draw mind maps to help you fix concepts in your mind then perhaps a simpler product like MindMeister or will do the job for you. On the other hand, if you are looking at mind maps as the first step in trying to encapsulate and analyze tricky, nebulous problems, then Compendium won't let you down.

Holographic Laser Projection

Holographic Laser Projection – or HLP™ – is a revolution in display technology. The term holographic refers to the inventive method we use to create 2D images.
Using holographic algorithms, we transform the image we want to project into sets of diffraction patterns, which are shown on a tiny microdisplay. When laser light illuminates the microdisplay, the projected image is formed by diffraction.

Get the most out of Windows XP Mode with these tips



While Windows 7 has several built-in compatibility features that are designed to allow you to run most Windows XP applications right from within Windows 7, there are other older Windows XP applications that will not run in Windows 7 even with those built-in compatibility features. For these types of applications, Microsoft designed Windows XP Mode for Windows 7.
Installing and using Windows XP Mode is a very straightforward operation. If you have Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate and the CPU and if your PC has the necessary built-in hardware-based virtualization technology, then all you have to do is download and install Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC.
Once you have Windows XP Mode up and running, you can install your XP applications in the Windows XP VM (Virtual Machine) just like you normally would. You'll then be able to launch your XP applications right from the Windows 7 Start menu.
While using Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC is pretty straightforward, there are some tips that you can employ to get the most out of this winning combination. In this edition of the Windows Vistaand Windows 7 Report, I'll introduce you to some of these tips.

Working with Virtual Applications

By default, applications installed in the Windows XP VM are auto-published to the Windows 7 host. This means that your Windows XP applications appear on Windows 7's Start menu. You can then launch your XP applications without having to first load the Windows XP VM and then launch them from the virtual Windows XP's Start menu.
In order for a Windows XP application to be auto-published to the Windows 7 host, the application must be installed in the All Users profile in the Windows XP VM. However, not all applications are installed in the All Users profile by default.
So, what if the application that you want to be able to run from within Windows 7 isn't auto-published? Or what if an application is auto-published and you really don't want it to be available from within Windows 7? Fortunately, you can take control of the auto-published using a couple of tips.
If the XP application that you want to be able to run from within Windows 7 isn't auto-published, you can force it to be so simply by creating a shortcut to the application in the All Users profile in the Windows XP VM. When you do so, the application will be auto-published to the Windows 7 host.
Access the Windows XP VM, right-click the Start button, and select the Open All Users command. When Windows Explorer launches, open the Programs folder. Once there, you can either drag-and-drop the shortcut from Windows XP's Start menu to the Programs folder or you can launch the Create Shortcut wizard, as shown in Figure A.

If an application is auto-published and you really don't want it to be available from within Windows 7, you can exclude it simply by moving the shortcut from the All Users profile to the XPMUser profile. That way it will still be available in the Windows XP VM but not in Windows 7.
For example, I installed my vintage copy of Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 in the Windows XP VM and it also showed up on the Windows 7 Start menu, as shown in Figure B. As you can see, not only did Paint Shop Pro 8 show up in Windows 7 Start menu, but so did Animation Shop 3 and the Uninstall Paint Shop Pro 8 utility. Since I really only want to be able to run Paint Shop Pro 8 from within Windows 7, I simply moved the shortcuts from the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Jasc Sofware folder to the C:\Documents and Settings\XPMUser\Start Menu\Programs folder where I created a new Jasc Sofware folder, as shown in Figure C.

Accessing folders on the host

When you are working in the Windows XP VM, chances are that you'll want to save your data in the Documents folder on the Windows 7 host system. While the built-in Windows XP Mode Integration Features automatically provide you with access to drive C on the host system, you still have to navigate through several layers to get to the Documents folder.
Fortunately, with the help of the old DOS Subst command you can assign the Documents folder, or any folder, on the Windows 7 host system to a drive letter. When you do, that drive letter will appear in the Integration Features' Drive list, where you can see it. Then any time you need to access the Documents folder, you can just access that drive letter.
For example, suppose that you want to assign the My Documents folder to drive letter H? To do so, access a Command Prompt in Windows 7 and type the command:
Subst H: "C:\Users\{your name}\Documents"
where {your name} is your user account name. Be sure to enclose the path in double quotes if {your name} is two separate words with a space in between.
Once you add the drive letter to your Windows 7 host, it will automatically be picked up by the Windows XP Mode Integration Features and you'll find the new drive in My Computer in the Windows XP VM, as shown in Figure D.

Back up your Windows XP Mode VM

Even though you probably aren't storing any data in your Windows XP Mode VM, chances are that you've put some time and effort into setting it up and configuring it to work the way that you want. As such, you'll definitely want to back up your VM so that you can easily reestablish it in the event of a disaster.
You will need to back up the following files:
  • Virtual Hard Disk/Differencing Disk file
    C:\Users\{your name}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Virtual PC\Virtual Machines\Windows XP Mode.vhd
  • Parent Disk file
    C:\Program Files\Windows XP Mode\Windows XP Mode base.vhd
  • Virtual Machine Configuration file
    C:\Users\{your name}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Virtual PC\Virtual Machines\Windows XP Mode.vmc
  • If the Undo Disks are enabled, you will need to back up the Undo Disks file
    C:\Users\{your name}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Virtual PC\Virtual Machines\VirtualPCUndo_Windows XP Mode_{#_#_##############}.vud
Before you begin backing up your Windows XP Mode VM files, you will need to shut down Windows XP Mode VM.
You can then copy the files over to your backup media for safe keeping. Should you need to restore the files in the event of a disaster, be sure that you restore the files in the same folders.

Shut down a VM

By default, when you close the Windows XP Mode VM window, the VM goes into hibernation rather than shutting down.
To really shut down the Windows XP Mode VM requires some extra steps.
On the VM Windows's toolbar, click Ctrl+Alt+Del menu item. When you see the Windows Security dialog box, click the Shut Down button. When you see the Shut Down Windows dialog box, select Shut Down and click OK.

Quicker custom icons





Here's a simple timesaver for your Thursday. OK, so it'll save you all of a few seconds each time you use it, but still, it's time saved. Over a year, who knows, you might accumulate an additional five minutes of free time, and we all know how valuable that can be!

Do you use OS X's ability to create custom icons for your files and folders? You did know you could do that, right? Just visit somewhere like The Icon Factory or InterfaceLIFT for Mac to find icons you like—or if you're really talented, use an icon editor such as Icon Machine or Iconographer to create your own. You can also use an existing icon off of a file or folder via a copy and paste operation.
Once you have an icon you'd like to place on a file or folder, the usual method of doing so is:

  • In the Finder, select the file or folder whose icon you'd like to use.



  • Hit Command-I (File: Get Info).



  • Click on the small icon image at the top left of the Get Info window.



  • Hit Command-C (Edit: Copy).



  • Close the Get Info window.



  • In the Finder, select the destination file or folder for the custom icon.



  • Hit Command-I to open the selection's Get Info window.



  • Click the small icon image at the top left of the Get Info window.



  • Hit Command-V (Edit: Paste) to paste the custom icon.



  • Close the Get Info window.



  • Whew. Not the most streamlined of processes. You can simplify things a bit by using The Inspector (Command-Option-I), which is simply a live updating Get Info window. This window will float and update as you change the selection in the Finder, making the overall process somewhat simpler. But there's still a fair bit of mouse clicking.
    So here's the timesaver—at least for those of you running OS X 10.3.3 or newer, including 10.4. You don't need to use Get Info on the source of the custom icon. Instead, just select the source item in the Finder and hit Command-C to copy it. Now select the destination, hit Command-I to open the Get Info window, click on the small icon image, and hit Command-V to paste. OS X is smart enough to realize that if you're pasting on top of the icon, then it should paste the icon image on the clipboard. Using this method, you save most of the work on the source file; you simply need to find it and hit Copy.
    This hint shows the intelligence of the Finder's clipboard—the clipboard holds at least three different types of data at the same time. What you get when you paste depends on where you do the pasting:

  • Paste copied item(s) into the Finder: You'll create a copy of the file(s) (or folder(s)) you copied (you need to paste into a different folder, though).



  • Paste copied item(s) into a word processor: You'll get the name(s) of the copied items. This is a great way to make a simple, fast list of everything in a folder—just use Command-A to select everything in the folder, hit Command-C to copy the selection, switch to your word processor, and hit Command-V. If you copy the entries from a column view window, the list will be in alphabetic order, too.



  • Paste copied item into the Get Info box: As described here, you'll paste the copied item's icon. Obvioulsy, you can't do this for more than one file at a time.



  • So the simple clipboard isn't quite as simple as it may seem to be…
